Studio 053 is Reza Siavashi's studio — websites, online shops, photography and smart automation, made in Enschede for business owners in Twente.

No web developer who runs a business on the side

I do not build websites because I love technology — although I do — but because I know what a business needs. I have run businesses myself for over ten years. I led my own company in Istanbul for six years, then helped build two ventures in the Netherlands, including Pantry Lab, a food-waste prevention app I still run as a co-founder. Along the way, I earned an MBA in Commercial Management from Tio Business School.

So when you tell me about quotes left sitting unanswered, an online shop that is not selling or a quiet month, I do not just nod politely. I know what that feels like and what can usually be done about it.

Started with imagery, returned to imagery

I started out in motion design. That was followed by ten years in marketing, SaaS and strategy — and now I am back to making things myself, with all those years of business experience behind me. That is exactly what Studio 053 is: a maker's eye and an entrepreneur's perspective.

Why Enschede

I am not from Twente, but I do live and work here. Twente is home; my studio is in Enschede and my customers are nearby. The area code in the name is a promise: I am around the corner, not hidden behind a portal.
